Roe v. Wade and Fertility Care

The impacts of overturning Roe v. Wade on fertility care

With the historic overturning of Roe v. Wade, we understand you may be confused and concerned regarding the potential impact this may have on fertility treatments, specifically assisted reproductive technologies (ART). At present, this ruling does not impact our ability to provide fertility treatments in the state of Texas including intrauterine insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilization (IVF), genetic testing of embryos, embryo transfer and disposition of embryos, or cryopreservation of embryos, oocytes or sperm.

We are actively monitoring the ruling and working closely with the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM)RESOLVE, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and state attorneys to make sure we understand all implications for our patients.

As double board-certified OB-GYN/REIs, we are committed to the health and reproductive autonomy of our patients. If you have any questions about if and how this reversal of Roe v. Wade could impact your fertility treatment or frozen embryo storage, we encourage you to reach out to our physician team.

The Dallas IVF team remains committed to providing access to world-class fertility care.
