Nobody ever thinks that infertility is going to happen to them, but if you’re having trouble conceiving, you’re not alone. 10-15% of reproductive age couples in the US are on an infertility journey. That’s roughly 1 out of 8 couples who suffer from infertility each year. As more women choose to start families later in life, the American Pregnancy Association expects those numbers to rise. The good news is that there are many treatments available to help you beat your fertility problems and start the family you’ve always wanted. That is where Dallas IVF comes in. We want our new patients to feel hopeful as they walk through our doors. Here is what you can expect during your first visit:
Consultation with a Doctor
At Dallas IVF, your initial consultation will always be with one of our physicians. Our doctors are experts in reproductive medicine and will take the time to review your case in full. We’ll go over your medical history and discuss what brought you to our practice. This consultation is just a conversation. You can learn about infertility, your options for testing, and potential treatments. You’ll be under no obligation to undergo treatment. We’ll simply have a conversation.
We ask that you bring the results of any tests you’ve had for your fertility issues with you to your first appointment. If we think that extra tests are necessary, we will order them. To help you achieve a pregnancy, we have to accurately diagnose the cause of your infertility.
After reviewing your medical history and test results, we can devise a plan to help you overcome your fertility problems. This plan can include treating the underlying causes of your infertility as well as fertility treatments to help you conceive, such as in vitro fertilization (IVF) and artificial insemination (IUI). Feel free to ask any questions you have about your treatment plan. At Dallas IVF, all of our patients are important members of the treatment team. We tailor each treatment plan to fit the patient.
