Dr. Mucowski

Your success story starts here

Dr. Sara Mucowski is a double board-certified reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist with both professional expertise and personal experience in the fertility journey. Having undergone IVF herself to freeze her eggs, she understands firsthand the emotional, physical, hormonal, and financial investment involved in fertility treatment.

Dr. Mucowski’s passion for reproductive medicine began with her early love of science, genetics, and reproduction. She became an emergency medical technician (EMT) in college, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Villanova University and her medical degree from Drexel University. She completed her OB/GYN residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch and her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Keck School of Medicine of USC where her research was presented both nationally and internationally and published in several leading medical journals.

Since joining Dallas IVF in 2014, Dr. Mucowski has helped thousands of patients build their families. She makes it a priority to be present for her patients throughout their care, taking time to listen, answer questions, and explain complex fertility treatments in a clear and approachable way. She believes patients deserve to understand both the details of their treatment and the bigger picture of their reproductive health in order to pursue the best treatments for their family-building goals. As the Director of Third Party Reproduction, she is committed to helping people of all family structures—including LGBTQ+ individuals and couples and single parents by choice—achieve their goals of parenthood and is passionate about fertility preservation (egg or embryo freezing) as well as treating PMOS (formerly PCOS) and diminished ovarian reserve.

Dr. Mucowski is also dedicated to education and mentorship. In addition to her dispelling fertility myths on instagram @saramucowskimd and participating in various podcasts and webinars, she teaches medical students at the Texas A&M School of Medicine in Dallas and resident physicians at Baylor University Medical Center Dallas, helping train the next generation of physicians in reproductive and women’s health.
