Dallas IVF Supports National Infertility Awareness Week

National Infertility Awareness Week 2017National Infertility Awareness Week (NIAW) started as a grassroots project to help those struggling with infertility. This advocacy project has since grown into a national event that takes place each year before Mother’s Day. This year’s NIAW will occur April 23-29, and Dallas IVF is excited to be a part of it.

During the last week of April, our DFW fertility clinic will join other physicians across the country to share information, fight stigma and clear up misconceptions about reproductive issues.

Infertility awareness begins with open dialogue

Our DFW fertility clinic offers hope and guidance to the 1 out of 8 people who face conception challenges. Infertility awareness encourages patients to ask questions and reach out to healthcare providers.

Knowledge is the first line of defense against any medical condition, including infertility. To arm you with knowledge, our physicians have a few infertility facts to share.

  • Infertility impacts men and women equally, and sometimes fertility issues come from a combination of female and male factor infertility.
  • Both men and women experience an age-related decline in fertility.
  • About 80% of couples who work with a fertility specialist eventually conceive. Of this number, only 3% require advanced treatments like IVF.
  • Exercise and a healthy diet that includes folic acid can support fertility health for women and men.

Dallas IVF believes in taking action to treat infertility

Our DFW fertility clinic works hard to support intended parents in search of fertility treatments. During NIAW, our dedicated fertility specialists will work harder than ever to spread an important message: Fertility issues are not shameful, they’re not rare, and with careful attention and treatment, many of the causes of infertility can be resolved.

Please contact us if you struggle with infertility. Dallas IVF, with locations in Frisco, Plano and McKinney, has been helping treat infertility for more than a decade and delivers world-class care close to home.
