Rinku Mehta, MD, takes an individualized approach to fertility care
“I came to practice medicine at Dallas IVF because of the caring and genuine physicians and staff. We are like-minded doctors because we practice evidence-based medicine and are committed to providing exceptional fertility care, always putting the patient first,” she explains.
Dr. Mehta’s approach to practicing reproductive medicine reflects her commitment to comprehensive patient care. She sees each of her patients at every appointment, and she performs all of the procedures, including sonograms. “I’m very detail-oriented, so I promise to take the time to focus on each patient, and learn their desires and concerns so that we can create an individualized care plan. Having experienced infertility and pregnancy loss myself, I understand the anxiety that many patients face and the emotional roller coaster they are on.”
Another important component of her practice is her focus on the mind-body connection and lifestyle factors affecting fertility. Dr. Mehta discusses topics with her patients that include nutrition, environmental toxins, stress management, yoga and physical activity.
Rinku Mehta, MD, offers an impressive background in fertility care
Rinku Mehta, MD, has practiced reproductive medicine for over a decade, and she has helped thousands of patients achieve their dreams of parenthood. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She earned her medical degree with honors and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston. Then, she went on to complete her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of California San Diego (UCSD), which is world-renowned for its research in reproductive biology.
During her residency, our Dallas fertility specialist developed an interest in reproductive medicine. “The director of my program was passionate about research, and I worked with her to study mouse embryos. That’s when my passion for the field started. I love how dynamic and leading-edge this area of medicine is and how much good it can do. Our exciting field is constantly evolving, and it is a privilege to be a part of a patient’s journey to build their family”
Dr. Mehta is well-versed in and enjoys all areas of fertility care, but she has several special areas of focus, including hysteroscopic surgery, the mind-body connection to fertility, diminished ovarian reserve, preimplantation genetic screening and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Dr. Mehta’s research during her fellowship focused on studying the pathophysiology of PCOS, and she has published several articles and co-authored a book chapter on this topic.
She is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), the Collin County Medical Society, the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society and the Texas Medical Association.
